Arthur Fery (2002) zooms into the top 100, the first 2002-er to do so

James Story and Jacob Fearnley are just outside the top 100 (at 102 and 108) which means our top junior boys look pretty healthy, although the majority are all 2001-born, so last year juniors.

Thats very exciting for Matilda, in terms of age not really a tiddler just in the place she needs to be to stand a chance of progressing into the pro game. A similar trajectory to Emma in her GCSE year and likely done with juniors bar Slams at 16.

Just to give some extra context:

Matilda is the 3rd youngest top 100 player.

There is one 2005-er (JWR 31) - Linda Fruh. - from Czech Rep, Robin Montgomery from the USA and then Matilda.

Taking all the 2004-ers as a batch, Cori Gauff obviously stands out head and shoulders, being JWR 2, WTA 324 and about to jump, having just won a round at RG qualis.

But after that, there's only one other 2004-er. (And then 16 2003-ers, then 41 2002-ers and the rest 2001-born)

Its interesting that Matilda hasnt really seen any of theses girls yet in competition, Emma has a good going rivalry with Clara Tauson since they were 14 at the bussiness end of junior tournaments which I feel is really healthy. There is a slightly older Hungarian girl Amarisa Toth 2003 (76) that Matilda has played doubles with and met at grade 5,4,3 and now 2.
