2019 female prediction rankings

Regarding how much change we may yet see in our top 10, I think that it is worth noting that in the live rankings for next Monday, 19/08, the 8 players from GB live ranked #4 to #11 are all within 100 WR places ( and 100 ranking points ) of each other.

From Katie B ( #4, live WR 219 on 259 points ) then Katie S, Naiktha, Jodie, Maia, Sam, Fran to Katy D ( #11, live WR 313 on 166 points ) it is generally quite tight and we have marked variations in form and fitness. So the GB order looks extremely uncertain for the remaining 3 months *

Beyond them #s 12 to 14, Gabi, Naomi and Mandy, certainly have the potential to even yet get involved but some big question marks there.

* The 19/08 race points are even quite a bit tighter with less than 50 points from #4 Maia on 184 points to #11 Katy D on 136 points. And then Maia for one has a 51 pointer due off between race end date and our predictions end date so could then fall a load of places. All these GB positions really are still very much in the melting pot, as it looks are GB #2 and #3. I think Jo will be GB #1 !

Many thanks again, Sim.

A clear top 2. But it is so close between most of the current GB top 10 that the GB rankings could even yet have quite a shake up and always the chance of suddenly getting very close with one or two WRs, picking up the 4 or 5 points for these. So maybe someone will emerge from the pack ...

Ace seems to be the person who is best across men and women, so to speak.

I'm pinning my hopes on a late run from Laura Robson.

Me too, and a return from injury from some of our top girls.

Maia has hit the ranking perfectly for me, but is four places higher due to the others not playing !

Not sure what anybody is expecting Laura to achieve these days.

Maia has her Shrewsbury 51 pointer to come off in early November before close of play ( plus a total of 28 from 3 other counters ) so may well drop down to a more rewarding GB spot for some.

I hate to say it, but I hope not: you are all that is standing between me and the wooden spoon!

Is Laura actually going to play anywhere before Christmas?

I was looking at the projected rankings for the next 5 weeks and If Katie B doesn't play during that time it looks like she could sink as low as GB No 9.  If she did that would certainly shake things up a bit, so I still think it's anyone's to win!

Yes, Katie B will be 9th at best on 18/11 if she doesn't add any points by then.

Sam is 4th in terms of banked points.

Whereas in the current rankings Katie B is 4th and Sam 9th.

Checking all the guaranteed minimum points for 18/11 ( ie. current 30/09 points less net points due to come off ) it's looking especially tight for the last few GB top 10 positions.

Minimum 18/11 ( close of play ) points.

8. Maia 159
9. Katie B 141
10. Katy D 140
11. Fran 138
12. Mandy 134

13. Gabi 92

The current projected top 7 in order are Jo, Heather, Harriet, Sam, Jodie, Naiktha and Katie S.
