I think a lot of those putting Aidan McHugh into their top 10s are using this week's table in which he is GB#11 with a WR 499, rather than next week's table where he does not have an ATP rank and is only 189 on the ITF list. Good luck to Aidan to getting into the Challenger - or even 25k - events that he will need even to get his foot back on the ATP ladder again. His talent is unquestioned. Whether he has such an easy route to realising it as he did under the old system remains to be seen.
Though I guess whatever table(s) folk are looking at that is essentially the past ( and of course relevant to learn from ). So not sure whether that many folk are being misled as such, maybe simply predictions of decent challenger+ progress in the coming year.
Other than any 2019 ATP points "banked" since the ATP finals everyone really has a clean slate for ATP points counting towards this prediction contest.
Will yes be interesting what challenger points the likes of Jack and Aidan will get. They have clearly been young guys on the up.
