2019 male prediction rankings

Congrats to Leafster. Almost got more points that the rest of us put together. Well not quite, but a winning margin of 11 points is huge.

And as always, a huge thanks to Sim for running the show so efficiently.

Final results are in, and there has been lots of change during the last month.

Leafster has stormed into first place with a commanding 11 point lead over the addict in second and Bruce in third.

After Leafster it was very tight with only 4 points between 2nd and 9th place.

Propping up the table are Robin  and JonH

No-one predicted Dan Evans as GB no.1

Thanks a lot Sim, good fun as usual!

Does that also mean that Ryan P. was not predicted by anyone to be in the top 10, as you missed him out of your first column.

I did actually predict Dan Evans as number 1 on numerous occasions on this forum and was scoffed at. Granted I didnt do it here but then I was being overly ambitious and positive in my predictions hence why I was last in the womens. This year I will do a head and not Hope prediction and Im sure Ill be top half to reflect respective knowledge on this forum.

I don't want to belittle this magnificent achievement, but generally making predictions during the year is easier than making them before the start of the year.

I made the prediction this time last year actually. When I telling everyone that Kyle wasnt a top 20 player and that Dan and Cam would close the gap and overtake. Jaggy right again, usual.

Nice try, Jag smile

Unfortunately, our gospel is the prediction table - cast in stone and all that .... no wriggle room ... biggrin

Wow! I can't believe I won. Put it down to beginner's luck.

Thanks everyone. Thanks, in particular, to Sim for doing all the hard work.

As for no one choosing Dan as No.1, I let my head rule over my heart on that one. I didn't think Kyle would have such a dip in form from the previous year but I very nearly put Dan ahead of Cam, but didn't think he'd manage such a strong year.

So Leafster, you might have had more points. You must be kicking yourself  biggrin

Overall, I think Jaggy was the only one to put Cam ahead of Kyle here, with Dan a fair bit back at that time behind Andy, Cam and Kyle.

Now if he would settle for winning the odd battle FWIW, rather than rewriting history ...

I can't say I was disappointed with my performance but there's always room for improvement.
