This year's tournament in Birkenhead extends to 2 weeks. The boys start tomorrow (the girls on Wednesday) with Felix Gill top seeded (facing Joe Leather) and Toby Samuel seeded 4, but he faces a tough opener against Harry Lazell. The draw is up here
First week is upgraded to a G4 and week 2 is a G5.
Didn't realise they had extended to 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, I'm out of the country so will miss this event for the first time since it came to Liverpool.
Are we saying that we don't have any youngsters who want to play qualis for the domestic event? Or did Wirral deliberately make it main draw only somehow?

It took me by surprise as well (there were qualis last year). However there are qualis next week, so I guess that the tournament applied to the ITF for an exemption this week , perhaps because the venue was unavailable over the weekend for some reason.
Some R2 results, with a super win from Finn Murgett over the second seed. And young Matt Rutter (2003) did very well to take out Arthur Fery.
R2:
Jakob CADONAU (GER) [3] 6-1 6-2 Matthew CLEGG (GBR)
Toby SAMUEL (GBR) [4] 6-1 6-2 Albert CHUDY (POL)
Matthew RUTTER (GBR) 7-6(0) 7-6(5) Arthur FERY (GBR) [8]
Finn MURGETT (GBR) 2-6 6-3 6-3 Hugo JARDIN (FRA) [2]
