Looks like Andy will play a couple of clay tournaments but not the French. It makes sense as waiting until June to play isnt doing much for match sharpness, its essentially a free hit for him.
Just learnt from Prime commentary that Anne Simpkin is JD's aunt. I remember her from the late 80s as mainly a Challenger level player from Leicester. Anyone know how she comes to be his aunt? As we've established that his mum's maiden name was Entract.

I must confess I didn't notice the date of the article & at the beginning of March, I wasn't exactly fully compos mentis, so the St Brieuc title wouldn't have registered at all.
Looks as though the potential was there for it to be another Golding,so kudos to those who kept him on track. He must have been through a lot - parents splitting up is not fun, I speak from experience.
