Worthy of note is that Jack is at live 6 in the Next Gen race to Milan. And a title this week would put him 3rd. A genuine chance of qualifying for that event Id say and worth going for - it is an exciting event, innovative, and the players and crowd enjoy it.

Also very lucrative. He got 6,000 for winning the last Challenger. The remuneration for playing (not even winning) the three round robin matches in the Next Gen is $80k.
When you consider that the only two losses in Jacks 12-2 start to the year were to Gojo who beat players ranked 33 and 27 to help Croatia to Davis cup final in December and To 68th ranked Bonzi who was on a run to the title then an atp semi with a win over 15th ranked Karatsev it speaks pretty well of the level he is playing at. I guess hes quite happy to play Forli 5 this week now and hope to extend his ten match streak there (maybe he should aim to play in Rome this year since hes doing so well in Italy lol!) , if very tire though. Id definitely think hed want to go for qualies for your events if it were not for the fact that all the ones with entry still open are on clay now. Dont remember him playing any clay. Maybe should play some challengers on it first before trying to qualify for tour events on that surface. Surely hell have at least a Q wild card for Miami after a MD one last year before thinking of clay though. That could be very interesting
Congratulations on another title today for Jack, what a start for 2022 for him. Time for a break now and then I would like to see him spend some time on the clay?

Might as well get used to it if only for developmental purposes, he's going to be playing on it a lot in his career.
I watched the match . Was great . Was littered with choking at times . There was one shot where Jack completely froze up hitting a forehand ( maybe backhand) . I stopped watching at 0-5 in the tie break . Retuned in later .
Hopefully Jack can start playing tour qualifying now instead . He has struggled on clay before . Not even won a itf event at that level .
