Jack Draper

This is nice to look at for Jack (and Britain)

- most match wins (JD with 17)
- most titles (JD with 3)
- most nations titles (GB with 3 but Paul also added overnight so in fact it is now 4)

It wont be - hes in the Rome challenger the following week as well, now. Hes second ranked player in both fields. I think challengers just now for clay is fine, he needs to learn the surface and better doing it a level down than at atp tour level.
He Will be top 100 post Wimbledon , so we will then see him at tour level through the US swing as well as on the grass.

Interesting that one of the main focuses is building a body that is less prone to injury.

Really liked his coach's comments. He seems to have both a short term and a long term strategy for Jack's progress, and balances all the elements: s&c, match play, resilience and the mental side of the game.

It did seem that Jack's niggling injuries were hampering his progress and that they're addressing this.

Very encouraging.

Jack is out of Split next week as commented elsewhere - is he injured again or just prepping longer ?

The article suggests he's playing Madrid the following week so maybe going to Spain early to prep.

Yes but Tiriac sold Madrid to IMG last year so I suspect Jack has a WC.

Oh, ok, had missed Madrid going to IMG (or forgotten). Cool.

I would have thought that a bit of challenger level practice would have been the best prep given his lack of recent matches on clay. Tour level seems a tough way find your feet. Would love him to prove me wrong though

Well yes....but it would be difficult to turn down a WC opportunity when your management company owns the tournament.

There was the same discussion last year when Emma got a WC into San Diego? and that had ties to her management company or something.
