It's fun to see Jack still technically in with a shout at reaching the tour finals going into Paris! (See live-tennis.eu/en/atp-race He's the lowest one without a cross next to his name). He was the lowest ranked player still in with a shot last week and only kept his hopes alive by winning the title I think. Looking at the numbers he'd probably need to win Paris and hope others around 8th place lose very early so super unlikely and he'd be pretty spent already when he got there if he made it but I guess he's in form at least. Not checked his draw for Paris yet as I post either.

He plays Lehecka later today; to make it harder, hed need to win Paris, take a wild card for Metz or Belgrade and win there also, hoping other results go his way! Hed enter Turin on a 15 match winning streak!

Gonna be tough though!

All very theoretical but the Race is down to 9 players chasing 4 places- Musetti and Hurkacz dropped early today

For Jack, it is the most tenuous of opportunities!

tbh I'm just excited that Jack is in the running for it so soon.

His chances are pretty low, but then Jo Konta managed to miss out twice when she seemed certain to qualify so who knows?

With Taylor Fritz up next and possibly De Minaur it's asking a lot - but to be there in the mix is an achevement in itself.

Exciting news as it looks like Draper is going to be training with Alcaraz in the off season in Spain. Jack's coach Trotman says 'It's incredibly important to spend time with the best players, experience that on a daily basis."

Here's a link to the article for anyone interested: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/tennis/article-14107271/Jack-Draper-train-Wimbledon-champion-Carlos-Alcaraz-pre-season.html

And another exclusive article/interview of James Trotman. www.removepaywall.com/search

Interesting that the 3 back to back loses in spring were defining. The fact it took those losses to change Jack's mindset to a more offensive front-foot approach is interesting!

There's talk on Jack's Facebook fans page of him having had a "physical mishap" and not joining Alcaraz for training. Anyone know anything?

Oh damn that's a real blow. What a shame and I hope it doesn't affect him for the start of next year. Better to be cautious though.

Seems its only minor, lets hope it doesn't turn in to a more troublesome injury

An article with some quotes www.skysports.com/tennis/news/12110/13271730/jack-draper-cancels-training-with-carlos-alcaraz-in-spain-due-to-hip-injury

Main takeaway is that his main focus is AO. He might skip United Cup, which could be a wise decision.

Brief BBC interview with Jack about his participation in this afternoon's "Memory Walk" to raised awareness of Alzheimer's Disease.  Sadly, his grandma no longer recognises him.

Great insight from Jack of the wide net that Alzheimer's reaches.
