Maia should be in the main draw.

Diatchenko and Gerlach in the MD are in Moscow and Luxembourg. That would move Rueffer and Busca to the MD but Rueffer is also in Luxembourg so Tan moves to the MD and doesn't need her SE. That leaves two places in the MD left that are held back should they be needed for SEs. Radwanska and Yerolymos are next in the acceptance list followed by Maia, but Yerolymos is in the qualifying draw as is the next after Maia. Which must mean Maia has taken the SE she is eligible for with the final place going to Radwanska. I think... confuse

Yes, that makes sense, Maia should have an SE. And I hope Eden is able to recover enough to keep going here. She has two matches to reach the MD again. Not the toughest of matches, but she is no doubt tired this evening after her two disappointing losses today, so I hope she will find some more energy again by tomorrow, once she has completed her travels too. They have at least put her on at the end of the day tomorrow, which gives her a bit more time to recover.

Dartron is reasonably well known - she made the finals of the U18 Nationals this year (losing easily to Tubello). As a junior, and ranked 850 or so, she's obviously on her way up, but hasn't shown any signs that she's ready to really make a mega impact in adult tennis yet.

Eden's tennis is definitely superior. But Eden may well still be ruing her missed chances yesterday.....

Never heard of Janicijevic so went and looked her up. She made the QFs of the U16 Nationals and has shot up in the rankings this year (-15). Articles say that she is still very slight and young-looking in terms of physique (born 2002) but has an excellent technique. You've got to think Alicia should get this comfortably...

Lissey makes harder work of winning her match than perhaps she ought, including having to save 2 SPs in the second set TB, before then winning the final 3 points. Eden follows her on court.

QR1: BARNETT, Alicia (GBR) [q8] 532 beat JANICIJEVIC, Selena (FRA) WC UNR 16yo JCH=430 6-4 7-6(7)

FQR: BARNETT, Alicia (GBR) [q8] 532 vs Lucie WARGNIER (FRA) 752=CH 19yrs (JCH:39 Jan 15)

MTO in Eden's match after just three games. *0-3, and the break was to love from four first serves in.

Doesn't look like anything serious for either of them.
But having lost eleven consecutive points before the MTO, Eden has now won 13 /18 to level it at 3-3*

Well the treatment must have helped because Eden has now gone *4-3 up. Hope she can see it through. The very first game was about 17 points long, and Eden had 4 BPs in it, all of which she lost. Probably put her into deja vu mode so glad she's recovered from that. Now 5-3*

Make that 25 points out of 33 for six games in a row and 6-3

The doubles MD is also out and main point to note is that Olivia Nicholls is back!
This week she is playing with Elixane Lechimia (FRA). They are second seeds and have a bye into the QF, where they will play the winner of Lissy and Eden's match

Great to see Olivia back, two months since her last tour outing at Chiswick. Interesting choice of partner - don't seem to have played together before, but have been opponents a couple of times - including Clermont last year. Recently, Olivia has partnered Lissey when Beth isn't playing, so that will be one to look out for.
