Especially when Watson's a Fed Cup veteran and probably the best dubs player in the squad. Time will tell if it pays off, but unlike most group formats, if you lose one match it's almost over.
Maybe we are thinking that Katie and Jo will win so lets get Harriet and Katie straight in the action, get the experience with at least a match win under our belts? Perhaps...
Juvan is certainly no gimme for Katie. If Boulter kicks things off and loses then I can see that being changed. This is arguably the toughest tie of the lot despite Greece having Sakkari.
I agree with JonH - if we win both singles, then let Harriet and Katie get the experience of playing in front of the home crowd. And, yes, the nomination can be changed after the singles anyway.
Well yeah, if we lead 2-0 It's a bit different, although that said, if GB, Slovenia and Greece all win 2 matches and lose 1 (and Hungary lose all 3) then all rubbers will have implications.
Boulter is 4/9, Juvan 13/8, so it's not exactly a 1/10 type match where she's an overwhelming favourite. Juvan and Jakupovic (top 50 dubs) will probably be our toughest doubles rubber as well.
