RE: Fed Cup 2019 - in GB?

RE teams of 5
I thought I had read it somewhere
https://www.fedcup.com/en/news/290263.aspx
Additional changes for 2019 include the introduction of five player teams and third set tie breaks, both designed to support player health.

Typical that their current rulebook doesn't include the changes !

I'd go for Harriet and Heather in the dubs.  Jo doesn't seem to enjoy dubs and Katie B might not have the stamina if a long singles match.

I agree with the Optimist. Jo and Katie should play singles, Heather and Harriet doubles. Heather has no form or confidence in singles at the moment but she and Harriet are both great doubles players. Also I think it's better to use the whole squad and not just 2 players.

Martic missing for Croatia, but Vekic is there and Konjuh included despite not playing since Wimbledon.

GB get Hungary, Greece and Slovenia (and avoid Croatia)

Slovenia missing a couple, we're favourites to get out of the group and a rematch of two years ago vs Croatia.

Get the better second seed team, but tougher third and fourth.

We will need our number 2 (Boulter surely) to bring her game.

Yes, surely Katie as 2nd singles player unless anything drastically changes. And Heather and Harriet could fit well for doubles. I'm not for particularly going all out to involve as many players as possible, just select to win which is what they are there for. But here that seems to potentially work well in saving our singles players and looking just about our best potential doubles pair anyway.

All GB matches will be shown on BT Sport and streamed on LTA's Facebook page.
Laura, Sam Smith and Jo Durie will be providing analysis and commentary on BT Sport.

Yep, looks like they're putting effort in with Baldwin presenting and the 3 commentators, probably be a bit like their WTA Finals coverage which is spot on.

Not sure if they are showing the 10am matches, but good that GBs are all at 4.30pm so more people will be able to watch.

Looks like they are not showing the 10am Bath matches involving the non GB matches which is fair enough, but someone on Twitter was saying that BT might be showing the Romania vs Czech Republic and Germany vs Belarus matches in the World Group over the weekend. Guess they'll be on the usual streaming sites if not.

Anyone on here going to Bath?
