Boys & Girls: 2018 US Open, hard - Grade A (Week 36)

Yes, great to see some of our juniors' progress and hope some will be very worthy of Wimbledon WCs in the future

( well as worthy as can be if and when any reach MD WC consideration, given my more general Slam MD WC views ).

 smile

Congrats to young Musetti (ITA) for reaching the singles final too. Not often you see a 2002 boy do so well. And from a non-Grand Slam country so no mega GS perks there, warranted or otherwise smile

Interestingly, Musetti is the lad who Harry W beat last week in Canada in a third-set TB. And who Jack Draper beat in the QFs of junior Wimbly (and at Roehampton).

(The other finalist, the Brazilian lad, was very impressive against Tseng, but he's a different profile, 18, pretty fully grown and already top-500 ATP)

But on verge of loosing the second..... in fact just lost it 2 - 6

Edit....... I used to be a good speller...... is it  my age or only writing on keyboards that has been my undoing .... a bit worrying.

Ashe and Armstrong may have roofs now. But the traditional final Sunday rain does not stay away.

6-4 2-6

MTB to decide it

The American combination broke twice in the second set to take it 6-2. A match tiebreak to decide the title
