Emma hands the second seed a 22 minute bagel, for the loss of just 11 points!

Great !

As said before, I thought Alexa was seriously unimpressive in her previous match - amazed that she is JWR 6.

Emma shouldn't fear anyone in her quarter of the draw. Aidan faces a tough match though against the ATP464, who has reached 4 Futures finals in the last year, winning two

Boys R3

Aidan McHugh v (6) Thiago Seyboth Wild (BRA)

Girls R3

(14) Qinwen Zheng (CHN) v Emma Raducanu

QF

Andreev/Matusevich (BUL/GBR) v (8) Jianu/Wassermann (ROU/NED)

I would say her half of the draw, its very top heavy.

Very pleased Emma has had some rest and great to see her fit again, well at least likely significantly fitter than she was at Wimbledon.

I am a little torn as to the publicity and hype going really deep creates v the benefit in terms of facilitating extra resource. Regardless of the outcome here in time she stands an excellent chance transitioning To the main tour. At present no mention in the nationals but another couple of wins and I think a series of next next gen articles will emerge.

Even the very best boys hang around for the US Open and unless your name is Oli or Phillipe a win really is an annoitment and powerful indicator of being able to dine at the top table through the majority of your career. Fingers and toes crossed for Aidan.

The Extreme Heat Policy is in operation before the Juniors even start today. So Emma's match delayed until things cool down. It is apparently 87 deg and feeling like 97 deg. She will be playing on Court 5, which had been a televised court, but at the moment there is no suggestion from Amazon Prime that a stream will be operating from that court today .

It looks like the juniors are now 'warming up' (unfortunate phrase......)
