Amazon Prime

Of course CD, you get the European version of Eurosport, which has coverage. As regards Amazon, with a decent internet connection, it is perfectly watchable and high quality - of course the pictures are the same as you see, just different commentary. My only gripe is that at the moment you get the three main courts, plus a selected match from one of the outside courts. For other matches, there is always streaming of course, but it is better to watch on TV rather than my laptop !

Lots of complaints has meant that reviews are currently suspended (IT glitch, apparently)

The British matches have generally been on at a decent time for us so far, therefore I didn't even think about trying to record. Is there no way to record with amazon? Surely you can watch any of the streams at any point though on demand, therefore no need to record?

Remember folk who took out the 30 day free membership to cancel unless you are hooked and happy to start paying the monthly charge.

You still get the rest of your 30 days whenever you actually cancel before.

The US Open and Manchester City series will probably do me for now. Might take a look at the ex Top Gear guys to see if it is any good.

... or indeed check out the Laver Cup. Thanks flamingowings for the steer.

Wasn't greatly interested in the Laver Cup but hey it's there and Kyle's on. Let's see how he's looking.

Just watched a bit of doubles. Entertaining match between Federer/Zverev and Sock/Isner but really is there a more annoying individual out there than Sock?

So, saw a little of Laver Cup and thought as per last year it was entertaining. Don't know how serious it is and how much is staged, but it certainly seemed a lot of tight matches and some good play with good crowd involvement, big audiences.

I think Europe v World is a little hard to swallow - probably Europe v Americas would make more sense in terms of a serious match going forwards. It shows how a one week format can work but two things different from new DC - 1) still a home and away element to it, even if World being at home is hard to work through mentally! 2) it was all TOP players in this event - when we get Laaksonen of Switzerland v Schwartzmann of Argentina in Tokyo in the new DC World Cup style event it is hard to see that really having the same appeal.

Oh by the way, best of 3 sets with a MTB didnt detract for me from the event - starting to be swayed that we dont need five set matches any more at least in these types of team events

Yes, I agree, the best of 3 sets with MTB did seem to work quite well.

So 2 weeks away from the start of the season and Amazon still have not indicated any tennis schedule for first few weeks.

However Eurosport are showing Brisbane, Sydney, Hopman Cup and Australian Open qualifying (and Main Draw) which is good news.

BT showing all WTA events.

So Amazon Prime show a single court in their coverage no difference to the TV. To watch Jonny and Luke's doubles i'm reduced to small screen from bet365. I'd have thought if Amazon were going to make a go of this then surely they'd want to be a game changer in the coverage. Show the other courts as well. Not necessarily with commentary but putting all the games in one place would be better. It's ridiculous when it's easier to watch challenger matches through livestream then it is those on the main tour!
