Been able to stream this shambles of a court all week thanks.
Anyway, in spite of the needless barbs, Evo doing ok thus far. Did well to hold at 1-2 saving three break points and thwarting the best intentions of some vile Canuck tennis louts on the next court.

Set Evo. Good match. Feel Ivashka shaded the set on the balance of play but Dan on top in the business end. Have to say, Ivashka has all the decorum of Liz Curran blundering around a practice court trying to locate Stefan Kozlov. Literally no court craft, just ****s it onto a decent length with each shot. Clearly a solid player so not mugging him off.
Meantime with Pospisil having levelled matters on Center vs Harris 7-6(11) in the second set maybe they'll calm for a little while before revving it up again.
Both players living a little dangerously. Dan gets to 15-30 in 7th game, but cant take advantage of a couple of 2nd serves and the chance slips.
II then gets to 15-30 and misses a passable volley for 2 bps, before Dan holds to 30. 4-4
Hang on, I've not said he's committed a criminal act, or that he should have been charged with one. But to say he's not been "accused" of a criminal act, when he's admitted to cocaine use is more "disingenuous" than anything I've posted.
As said, the fact of using cocaine does not, in and of itself, make you guilty of the crime (mens rea, defences etc.). Much less 'accused'. So Evo admitting using it is only one part of what is needed to be guilty of the crime. So it is correct for Jonh to say that he has not been accused of a criminal act (unlike the other sportsmen listed).
PS of course, ethically and morally, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Indeed - Dan was not accused or charged with anything. Stokes was charged with affray and although found not guilty of that was a) likely to have been found guilty of assault if the CPS hadnt messed up and b) was clearly filmed beating a guy to a pulp. He was stood down from the Ashes but has now been picked for the next test and seems unlikely to face more sanctions.
Cipriani has been found guilty and fined and now has , I presume , a criminal record. Although the RFU have charged him with a disrepute charge. The papers are full of writers suggesting he should be treated lightly and Eddie Jones will be sympathetic.
It appears to be naked eye that Dan was treated harshly in comparison. That was my point really
