Just saw a tweet by the atp Challenger tour saying its lukes 3rd Challenger doubles win of the year with 3 different partners on 3 different surfaces. I then was looking this up on Lukes itf profile. I also note he has won a Futures double, Challengers and ATP world tour titles this year. Cant be that often that you get a player having won a tournament in all 3 levels in the same season.
Dan is playing some amazing tennis, but is struggling to find his first serve which is making life difficult for him. Should have put this set to bed by now!

Ken & Colin did it when they broke through as a pair.
Having always kept on a eye on his results because of his story, delighted to see Kubler has broken the top 100 this week regardless of the result today,
Oh dear. Dan double double faults on way to being broken in 8th game which he should have won, and then fails to take 3 break points and trails 5-4. Big game coming up.
I feared it was coming, but Dan's level has dropped considerably and he surrenders the third break in a row fairly tamely, as Kubler takes the set 6-4.

Dan manages to simultaneously hold to love and look physcially a spent force. You just never know with him, but it looks like the extra games he has played as a qualifier have caught up with him.
