And suddenly, Dan putting pressure on Kubler second serve and a double fault gives him the break 6-5, serving to level matters in second set

3 break points for Dan, all saved. Feels like a big moment.

Kubler holds.

Dan had a look at 2nd serve on second 2 break points and lost them both to unforced errors. Hope its not as significant a moment as it feels.

Having always kept on a eye on his results because of his story, delighted to see Kubler has broken the top 100 this week regardless of the result today,

Good article on him - www.theaustralian.com.au/sport/tennis/jason-kubler-does-it-his-way/news-story/a1f185f6ca46897ab8f35fd0f27af8df

Thanks wolf - is it just me, or.does it require a subscription to read it though?

Well I certainly ain't got a subscription.

you must be lucky it wants me to pay a dollar a day for 6 months as an intro offer. Err. No thanks - the article will need tk stay unread.

Meanwhile, Dan hits two hour mark. Could go either way.

Good hold for Dan, always a danger point when serving after missing out on chance to break - 2-2

Does anyone know why Dan hits so few top spin backhands especially when it seems solid? Just wondering as its the slice BH that Kubler is attacking in this match.

Dan holds after a marathon game of many deuces, though no break points. 2 very tired guys out there, 33 in the third. Now would be v good time to break Dan.
