Superb for Jack and well done on keeping going and finally winning that decisive break and MP.

Now will need very effective rest and recuperation after that final set. I assume the final is tomorrow?

Final set TBs please !!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, 1pm I think, girls is tomorrow.

Well what a win, hanging around to take your chance when it comes round is a very promising characteristic, fabulous for him a win in the final and he gets a qualifying wildcard for next year... but, hasnt he already had one of those?

Hopefully this time next year the focus will be on senior tennis. 17 is a good age to start focusing on getting into the top 500. Bob may even get to see him play in Murcia! A well recognised route to the top.

Thanks. Yes no sign of the boy's singles final on tomorrow's schedule. I am sure Jack will appreciate the day off.

I think it will be even harder with the rest. The stiffness will kick in by Sunday.
Silly rule making juniors play 4+ hrs

Just to say this was a super result for the gb  wildcard pair. Both born 2001. Harry in Dec. 2001. Really pleased for them.

Certainly Jack will need to have a bit of a hit tomorrow, just not too long or energetic.

I was wondering at the difference between the jump from boys to mens and girls to womens.

Bear with me as I haven't got all the information for my ponderings, hence my musings. I was thinking that both Jack and Emma got QWCs into the seniors. Emma had a tight three setter, losing to someone who then beat two players ranked around 150 to got to the MD, and Jack got beaten quite straightforwardly by someone ranked around 170, and lost to someone ranked around 120 in the next round. Emma went out to someone ranked 500+(seniors) in the girls comp and the semi finalists were all top 500, and now it's reported that Emma wants to go pro at 15. I'm not sure of the seniors ranking of the semis boys. Please can someone help me make sense of this.

There's been some lovely tweets from Tennis Wales, and Cardiff Met's XL Tennis academy (James is Welsh).

Love the fact the Laura Robson was tweeting her support for Jack too during his match. Jack's mental strength was phenomenal, I thought, in his match - amazing.

That was a tough match to win/lose. Couldn't believe the tennis the Colombian came up with time and time again on MP down. He seems to have a bright future ahead of him.

Hopefully Jack is 100% for the final. And a huge rankings jump now.

Assume you mean at Wimbledon? Golding won the USO juniors later that year when a 16yo Edmund made the semis.

Shout out for Nicolas Mejia who came back today to win not one but two doubles matches to reach the finals. James & Harry's match should start in 15 minutes

A serve dominated semi which only really came to life at the back end of the second set, when they saved 3 match points to reach a second tiebreak (there was only one other breakpoint - to the British pair)

SF

Erel/Virtanen (TUR/FIN) d. (WC) Story/Wendelken 7-6(0) 7-6(5)

I wouldn't expect anything less. Both train at JTC.
