Yay, 21/10 will be 6 months since the Fed Cup. So it does look as if she was just waiting for a PR to apply. Hopefully that means that she is more than ready to go.
Many of the Australian players (Kygrios, Stosur, Millman, de Minar) have pledged money towards helping those who've been affected by the fires and I also think the ATP has as well.

I may have misunderstood the tweet from Katie, is she actually playing any events over the Australian season? She didnt seem to be down as listed to play on the relevant lists on this forum that I could see?
Interview with Katie after her match, she reiterated that she has yet to make mind up about Fed Cup. She did say though that she was certainly playing Acapulco & Indian Wells on her PR.
I posted this elsewhere, but it should really be in this thread.
Katie posted on twitter yesterday (27/01/20)
"2019 was very tough for me. I had an incredible experience playing in the Fed Cup for Great Britain which unfortunately led to a season ending injury. Ive been advised that playing on clay so early in the season may aggravate the back injury I suffered last year. Im gutted not to be playing for my country but I cant take the risk of further injury this year as I want to come back stronger. I wish Anne and the team all the success for the tie."
