I think Cam Norrie will come through this year. Leftie serve on grass. Let's go Cam!

I went for Kyle, just because he seems to be the player in best form this year although I realise grass isn't his best surface.

I went for Evo simply on the grounds that I think he will play every single tournament that he can and that for much of the time he will be an ATP level player, playing in Challenger tournaments.

True, although qualies wins dont count in this, it is just main draws, so maybe all those qualies matches will tire him and count against?!

Non-spoiler alert...Heather has no votes. Sad given that not so long ago she got so close to beating Serena in her pomp at Wimby; if only she could recapture her happy-go-lucky positivity from somewhere and prove us all wrong! Here's hoping :)
As stated, my vote went to Gabi though...

I thought it might be useful to summarise the GB entries across all the different events so far - obviously there are WC entries to come and also some players will hopefully claim the odd qualifying place. But as it stands the list as below and also I have given an idea of event strength by stating entry ranking of 8th placed entry:

ATP Surbiton Challenger - mens - no direct entries, 8th placed entry ranked 101

ITF Surbiton - womens - Heather Watson , Naomi Broady , Katie Boulter 8th placed entry ranked 105 (according to ITF, drop from initial list which is how Katie has now crept in)

WTA Nottingham - womens - Jo Konta, Heather Watson , 8th placed entry ranked 49

ATP Nottingham Challenger - mens - Cam Norrie, Liam Broady 8th placed entry ranked 125

ITF Manchester - womens - Naomi Broady, 8th placed entry is ranked 116

ATP Queens - mens - Kyle Edmund, Andy Murray, Cam Norrie (WC) , 8th placed entry ranked 15

WTA Birmingham - womens - Jo Konta, 8th placed entry ranked 16

ATP Ilkley Challenger - Liam Broady entered, 8th placed entry is 133

ITF Ilkley - womens - no list yet, out on Friday 1st June?

WTA Eastbourne - womens - Jo Konta, 8th placed entry ranked 13

ATP Eastbourne - mens - Kyle Edmund , 8th placed entry ranked 42

ITF Southsea - womens - no list yet, out on Friday 8th June?

Wimbledon - Mens - Kyle Edmund, Andy Murray, Cam Norrie , 8th placed entry ranked 8

Wimbledon - Womens - Jo Konta, Heather Watson, 8th placed eentry ranked 8

With Ilkley and Southsea yet to announce, lots more Brits to play no doubt and of course those wild cards will start to fill. To date though Jo Konta has 4 entries, Heather has 3, Kyle 3, Cam 3, Naomi 2, Liam 2 and Andy 2 (if he plays of course).

Not sure if that tells us anything, but thought it might be of interest

The Ilkley list is now out for the men, with Liam Broady lined up; ladies will come out later in the week.

Quick update and to move this up a little so those wanting to vote, can do, in case they havent spotted it. So far, 34 members have voted, and 11 players have received votes.

I won't say who the 9 are that haven't received a vote but one or two high profile players in there.

With the qualifying draws due to be made and player entries closed for first event, our poll showed the results below. For those who havent voted yet, sorry to reveal, but we had 34 votes as per below

Edit a late vote came in

Dan Evans 10 votes

Jo Konta - 9 votes each

Gabi Taylor - 4 votes

Kyle Edmund, Cam Norrie, Harriet Dart, Laura Robson - 2 votes each

Andy Murray, Naomi Broady, Katie Boulter,  Katy Swan - 1 vote each

I'll update as the weeks progress with actual scores - I am sure if Blob was here he would do some fantastic tables as results progress, I am afraid my updates will be less prosaic but should be an interesting grass season nonetheless.

Sorry JonH - think I am too late for this (assuming so as I couldnt get the voting buttons to work and because qualies at Surbiton have started?) but for what it is worth I would have gone for Kyle. I think he might well get through a few rounds at each of his planned tournaments whereas some of the others might have one decent run each but struggle to be consistent across all of the grass court season.
