Emily is the top seed in qualifying here, so has just missed out on the main draw. However, her path to the MD looks relatively smooth. She will have to play two matches but none of her potential opponents are ranked.
This is a 64 draw qualifying whereas the 60K was only a 32 draw qualifying with only 4 qualifiers so there were more DA into the MD than here. She would have made it into the MD here if it were the same.

Yes, to add to Red Squirrel's point, blob showed in his charts earlier that the Lu'an 60k field was a similar strength to both the Monzon 25k in Spain, and even the Goyang 25k in S Korea, whilst the Rome 25k (on clay) field was stronger than Lu'an. This 25k field is not quite as strong as that at Lu'an, but not by too much.
Just to add one further note in respect of Emily's doubles ranking. She will lose 50 pts beginning of next week for her 25k W at Hua Hin last year, but will replace it with an unused 12 pts for a Sharm 15k W (ie net -38). This will see her ranking slip back to about 250, but as her doubles ranking is important for Emily, she will hope this tournament will help her bring it back up again. That means her reaching at least the SF however, to improve upon the 12 pointer and two unused 9 pointers she already has. Although she and Rutuja play the top seeds next, Bai and Lu battled to a 6-4 7-5 win over a Chinese pair with considerably lower rankings than Em +, so they will be hopeful of obtaining the win and the 18 pts to go with it.
