Yeah, successive semi finals is somewhat encouraging and out of the 3 other semi finalists, you'd like to think she has the most favourable match. She's obviously beaten Rodionova last week, but she is still the top seed and Ula came through a tight match last week and is dangerous and has the game despite her low ranking.
Katie B beat the Turkish opponent relatively comfortably last week so I'd like to think KS has a decent chance.
Well, it's been a good week for both players so far and both will reach CHs once their points go on. Beth will rise to around 557/8 (current CH 587), whilst Katie S so far with net 17 points will rise to around 285 (current CH 289). Reaching the final, her next target, would take her too around 275.
Beth had a good second set performance today - a few DFs at really critical junctures unfortunately - and can be proud of her week, even if she and Olivia may be missing their end of week doubles performance.
For Brits to sweep the Obidos doubles titles, following on from Grey-Nicholls successes, Freya & An Sophie are going to need an MTB, if they can even get there.
6-7(3)

Katie playing pretty badly; Ozgen playing quite well, and using tactics that aren't allowing Swan to get any rhythym. Only looks like one result here at the moment.

No swep for the Brits in doubles.
Freya's search for a tenth pro title goes on. Though, I'm she'd she'd just settle for a first singles title at this point.
F: Christie/Mestach (GBR/BEL) [1] 529 lost to Cabeza Candela/Fita Boluda (ESP/ESP) 947 6-7(3) 6-1 [6-10]

Swan loses 4-6 4-6. A bit disappointing, but 2 successive SFs is not bad and something to build on. Shame she lost to a lower ranked player here, but I suppose a SF from #3 seeding is par. A week off and then Spain.
