I'm not sure what has happened but the top 10 in the qualifying list are not in the qualifying draw. That includes Eden, Freya and Beth. Jodie withdrew yesterday. That leaves just the Pitaks in Q for GB.

Certainly a few withdrawals from lower down the qualy list and extra byes this week - I have noticed a few walkovers in the doubles over the last couple of weeks, so maybe that is another factor. This week wasn't as strong as the previous two anyway, and perhaps they didn't give out all the wildcards ?
Edit: - two of the three Portuguese MDWC's from week 16 are back in qualifying this week. The other MDWC was Radwanska, who this week was listed at Q4.

In the doubles Freya partnering Mestach again and are #1 seeds. A Pitak and K Pitak are also in the doubles and will play Freya in R32.
Beth and Olivia seek a clean sweep of titles and are seeded 2. They play Jorge and Ka.
The OOP is out for tomorrow, though the MD is still not showing, probably because one FQR match is still ongoing. The only R32 singles match featuring a Brit tomorrow is Eden (WR 497), who plays Elixane Lechemia (FRA) WR 426. They've played twice before in 2011-12 and Lechemia won both back then.
Eden is yet to win a MD match here, so she'd like a win tomorrow. She's unlikely to be the favourite, but this is as winnable as any first round match she is likely to get.
Rest of the draw is now up. Unfortunately Beth and Freya play together, although at least one of them will get a first round win. Katie S (#3) plays a qualifier. And those are the four Brits in the singles this week.
Main draw is up, but without the qualifiers yet. Unfortunately Freya/Beth are in Katie S's section, so would meet in the QF if they get through
Good chance for Katie though, she has 2 qualifiers and a WC in her section before that QF match
Eden is the only one to play singles today - takes the first set 6-3
Both doubles matches to follow on the same court. Looks cold and windy today - wonder whether the rain will make its usual appearance
Yes they are still trying to finish 5 QR3 matches, of which they've completed 2 now, 2 are in progress, and 1 is still to come. Eden's is the first R32 match on court; 3 others are scheduled after the QR3 matches, and then the doubles.
