So recap whilst we got distracted back onto January, February nominations to date are:
Kyle Edmund
Dom Inglot
Henry Patten
nominations will be accapted through to end of Sunday 1st March when that days play has completed. Ill pop up a poll on Monday 2nd March for the voting process
Does it have to be in terms of winning a match. I am thinking of Harriet D in the Fed Cup. She didn't win but played well above her ranking and battled to the last ball (although I accept not as good as Kyle getting a title.............)

Personally I think nominations should be open to anyone.

Absolutely, nominations can be open to anyone for any reason, the poll can then take care of who is felt to be most deserving. Shall I count Harriet as a nomination?

I agree. Definitely would not have a problem if someone wanted to nominate Harriet, although I agree she'd be unlikely to win in a week when someone wins an ATP trophy. But there might well be other months when a losing performance did characterise the player of the month.

I'll nominate harriet myself making the current list
Reminder that this is the last week of Feb and if anyone has any more nominations during this week for GB Player of the Month, please get them in. I was hoping one of our doubles guys would come good last week and make a push but no titles and hard to justify a further nomination beyond Dom's from his title the other week, but lots of our male players are on the senior ATP and Challenger tour this week so may make a push. Could one of our girls or men come good in Sunderland and do something perhaps?
And anymore Junior players making waves in one of the Tennis Europe events perhaps?
Current nominations list: (alphabetical surname order)
I think it is reasonable, given he is plying his trade in ATP 500 level events and thus above the other men in general, that Dan should be nominated for Player of the Month, given that he has beaten two top 20 players now this month in Khachanov (Rotterdam) and Fognini (Dubai). So, nominated
Just a reminder, nominations for February player of the month should be in by Monday, lets say 5 pm Monday (GMT) and I will then post the poll for voting later that night.
As well as the nominations already in, the players still plying their trade this week around the world, and who might make the list, include:
Acapulco - Heather (singles and doubles), Kyle (singles), Ken (doubles)
Dubai - Dan (singles)
Santiago - Jonny (doubles)
Calgary - Liam (singles), Ryan, liam and Scott (doubles)
Columbus - Lloyd (doubles)
We then have a number (7 women in singles, 5 men in doubles) in action in the last 16 at Sunderland, and several other locations around the world at ITF level and in Juniors.
Remember, anyone can nominate anyone they feel is worthy to be player of the month, the vote will decide. So if one of the players above breaks through and does something you feel is worthy, then please nominate them - it could be winning an event, a big win over a higher ranked player, or maybe a "body of work" over the month that you feel makes them worth nominating.

So we still have heather, dan, Jonny, liam , liam and scott, lloyd involved at challenger level or above this week, as well as a few players in Sunderland. Will any of them get someone's nomination at the end of the week for player of month?
