GB Player of the Month

As far as I can tell, and I am not checking too closely, we have Liam, Mark Whitehouse, Ryan Peniston, Stuart Parker and Katy Dunne still in action this week - anyone I have missed there?

Once all action is complete (and lets hope that is Sunday perhaps) for the Brits I will go ahead and raise the polls for this months vote - if all are done and dusted tomorrow , for example, I will get them up earlier let us get them done.

Depending on whether any of the above listed ones not already nominated get added to our nominations list, I plan to mix the polls up slightly and (if still 12 nominees) have 4 polls of 3 and then a final of the winners. If the numbers change, I may adapt that slightly...

At the moment , we have 7 mens and 5 womens nominees, 10 singles and 2 doubles, 2 wheelchair nominees.

So I will make sure they are appropriately spread across the 4 groups.

Emily Arb in doubles

(as still in action, not a nomination smile)

Add: and Max Andrews, although that might be done and dusted in 5 mins...

Cool, I forgot about Max, to be honest, now there are more events and I am dipping in and out, I have lost track of where we are!!

Max was 1-6 4-5* down when I posted the above - he managed to break back and drag it out to a TB, but lost the TB so down and out, I'm afraid.....

With Liam done for the week (yay) and Max and Ryan out now as well, I think it is down to Mark W, Stuart P, Katy D and Emily A (doubles) to keep us interested this week. I think Liam B's wins this week make the vote very interesting and with a more wide ranging set of players incl the wheelchair entrants, USO doubles performances, Fran's exploits etc we could end up with a very interesting vote this month

I'll post the semis polls tonight!

I wont be able to write any summaries or narrative though, so will leave it to folks to do their own research or some other kind soul to write up players months work!

1st October but a few days into the pom month. Jamie and neal into last 16 in paris; joe, jonny and cam still alive there; katy d and stuart Parker into last 8 action in itf events. No one probably reached pom nomination status yet, but some activity around the place at least.

So, in September, our doubles players received nominations on reaching the semis at the US Open; we have Joe today and Jamie and Neal tomorrow in the QF stage, so will be interested to see if they progress and any nominations for October POM are forthcoming. Joe is on court now and leading by a set.

We also have Arthur, Felix and Matilda playing Junior FO this week, with Arthur and Felix progressing in singles, Matilda on now (winning first set) and doubles to come

Slim pickings of a week!

Let's hope someone does something of note!

Not sure. The French Open app references wheelchair draws though not showing any actual draws there yet. And Slam wheelchair action doesn't usually get going until sometime during the second week.
