I mused on this as I having nominated Jamie and Neal, I wondered what my move should be if Joe joined them in the semis. Joe , of course, got a w/o in one match BUT a semi is still a semi, that wasnt his problem and who is to say that they wouldnt have won that match anyway. So, in fairness, I am also going to nominate Joe - no point in playing games and waiting for someone else, a Masters semi deserves at least a nomination

So the nominations for player of the month will be posted this Sunday evening as normal. Current list as below - 9 nominations so far

Dan Cox

Emily Appleton

Stuart Parker

Billy Harris

Emma Raducanu

Liam Broady

Jay Clarke

Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski

Joe Salisbury

Let's make it a round ten:  Johanna Konta for reaching her first Masters (or whatever it is the WTA calls it) semi for God alone knows how long after beating Maria Sakkari (13) in straight sets (4 & 3) in Cinci/NYC!  biggrin

10 means we will certainly be having semis polls, 2 groups of 5 if it stays like this, but there are still chances for Aidan McHugh (if he wins his ITF M15) and perhaps Arthur Fery (if he wins a second British Tour event) or Jonathan Gray (a win after a final last week) to perhaps add to it if anyone feels inclined. Wont know those outcomes til Sunday however.

Just came on here to add Stuart Parker to the nominations.

Now I am used to being beaten by SC by a few seconds/minutes when posting results, but apparently SC has beaten me by 11 DAYS in nominating Stuart. I really must pay more attention. But Stuart is in there so that is what really matters.

It's an M25, Jon, so even more prestigious (if that's the right term!).

Saying it is an M25 is just going round in circles, SC biggrin

With Aidan and Jonny Gray losing today, it feels like Arthur is the only real additional candidate left this weekend, unless someone comes left field in the British Tour mens or womens and nabs a spot for springing a major surprise.

Why do they call them M25 and W25 now? We used to just call them all 25k and we should be able to figure out whether its M or W ourselves.

Kartal and Pethybridge fight their way into the semis , can they carry on the work and get the title and perhaps a nomination.

Fery, Gill, and Matusevich ditto in the mens ( and Fery also won last week). Little and Cash in MTB but scoreboard has stuck!

Anton v Dan in the final. Will the winner get a nomination? Has Arthur done enough with a semi after last weeks win to get nominated?

We have 10 so far, final nominations by 10pm sunday, I'll post the voting around then.
