So far, the only player (men or womens) to win more than one title so far is Arthur Fery, with 3 in total. All other players have not won more than one.
Fery could prove hard to beat unless someone "repeats" this next week
Emily Appleton says hi , although both in doubles (as a more current traditional singles player), and I'm not really sure how much relative weight today's success will have, but it is something concrete to add to her portfolio. She should really be a top 3 player next week at SGH, and if she can get to the final, or even better, win it, then she should be a pretty strong contender IMO.
As it stands, Fery would still get my vote.

So it doesn't look like any player has done enough this week to be added to the nominees list. With one week to go, list is In nomination chronological order:
Jamie Murray Dan Evans Kyle Edmund Arthur Fery Emily Appleton Alicia Barnett Jodie Burrage Katie Boulter.

Jodie from the above nominees strengthens her hand today. Cam Norrie and Emma Raducanu both get good wins and may play themselves in here if they have a decent week after this.
Strongly agree re Jodie, and Cam Norrie.
Jodie has done well in the British Tour, Progress Tour, SGH and currently has had a good start to the BoftB today, so deserving. Cam also made a good appearance at the men's BoftB in June and a good start to this week's , we'll see how the rest if the week goes for them all

Arthur Fery may suffer through not playing this week...
Actually that's interesting you raised that. What's the criteria for nomination , selection or for winning. Is it the number of appearances / tournaments or how far they get to in any of the tournaments that they played. ... hmm. Do team events carry more weight than individual events? Just thinking out loud
Yep, maybe a bit of recency bias will occur, but some very notable (higher profile) scalps today to back up already solid months. A lot of worthy contenders this month.

The great thing is, of course, that it is whatever you want it to be!
When I put this forward and ran with it, it would have been easy to have come up with some sort of points based system and let the top scorer be the winner - but , of course, everyone on this forum would have a different idea of who, why, what etc and a points system would fall at the first hurdle. Plus, the polls are a decent way of getting community involvement, I hope demonstrated by the series of fantasy and favourites polls during the early part of lockdown.
In terms of nomination - anyone, of course, can nominate any player they want to and that is not regulated. The regulation comes through the poll at the end, the vote, as anyone without strong credentials at the end of the month wont get many votes. We have only done this a couple of months, but what tends to happen is week 1 and 2 of a month see one or two strong performances, some very early nominations come in (with more than half a month left); other nominations tend to be what I call "body of work" related ones, building or adding as the month goes on.
In terms of selection - all nominees of course, get through to the vote - no judgement is made, and if someone completely spurious was put forward, I would still let that happen, I just would trust that the vote itself will determine the correct winner. Some people on this forum follow the junior game and in a previous poll, the European Winter Cup U14 team got nominated, even though i suspect many other people on the forum had no idea why! But it was well deserved.
In terms of the winner - the poll of course lets each of us decide our own criteria - we might have a month (lets say September) where Dan Evans beats Nadal in a Masters 1000 event, Jack Draper wins back to back Challenger events, Cam Norrie wins an ATP 250, Joe Salisbury wins the French Open doubles, Jo Konta wins Lexington and then makes the semis at the US Open, Emma Raducanu wins an WTA125 in Limoges etc etc. All could easily be regarded as enough to be player of the month, but does the fact Jo did it in two events, outstrip Dan beating the top player in the World on clay, or does Joe winning a slam outdo a young up and comer like Emme or Jack who win big in their first foray into the real pro ranks. Each of us can make our own judgement on that! I just wish it would happen!
PS when I put the poll up, I will write a reminder summary of each players achievements/form over the period in question, so hopefully that will also help folks

Yes, good that we didn't go for lumping June, July and August all together
Remember though that the first vote since the resumption will count all play since then. So June and July assigned tournaments.

A 2nd win of the week in BotB team event for Cam and he is the first player to get two singles wins. Having a good week. Anyone tempted to nominate him for PoM poll yet?!
Jamie Murray
Dan Evans
Kyle Edmund
Arthur Fery
Emily Appleton
Alicia Barnett
Jodie Burrage
Katie Boulter.
This week, Cam, Joe, Emma and Harriet have 2 out of 2 records so far, and none of them are nominated yet for the poll. Anyone can nominate so if you feel someone is deserving who isnt on the list, please shout.
As well as BotB Team event, we have UK Pro Series Week 4 and also Ken and Neal and others playing in World Team Tennis and players such as George Loffhagen around the continent playing matches and doing well
Jamie Murray
Dan Evans
Kyle Edmund
Arthur Fery
Emily Appleton
Alicia Barnett
Jodie Burrage
Katie Boulter.
And Cam Norrie.
I'm going to break my rule of not nominating as I think Cam with his wins this week, 3rd in the initial mens battle of the brits, and a premier british tour singles and doubles title is worthy of a nomination.
