Herts go 5-1 up in the singles Scotland's win coming from Ewen L beating Dan M 7-6(5), 6-3
don't know if Herts/Scotland will play the dubs as Surrey already top the group and will win unless Suffolk can pull off a massive upset and beat them then would possible need to play on. Suffolk currently 1-4 down with Oscar and Brandon left to play in the singles.

Surrey win the group 1 18U County Cup with Herts worthy runners up - repeat of last years result.
Last year of junior county cup for many of these young men as Josh W, Emile, Dan S, James, and Jake heading for div 1 Uni in the US, Matt going to junior college and Josh R already taking the pro route. They will be handing the baton (racket?) on to the younger boys.
Boys teams are last years winner and runner up Surrey and Hertfordshire with newly promoted Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Could there be a change at the top this year? - Herts have a young team compared to last year, where as Yorkshire and Surrey retain their experience (Brandon Murphy, Deji T-S, Matt Clegg) and may also have greater depth in their teams.
Girls teams are last years winner and runner up Kent and Middlesex with newly promoted Hertfordshire and Yorkshire
day 1 standings: Yorks and Lancs ahead for the boys and the girls had close matches all round with Herts 5-4 triumph over last years group winner Kent and Middlesex 5-4 against Yorks.
County Cup group 2a
Essex boys team (relegated from division 1) have beaten Suffolk 8-0 and Middlesex (also relegated last year) have beaten S. Wales 7-1
Group 1 boys: Yorks top the leader board at the end of day 2 with a 7-1 win over Lancs. Lancs single win came from#6 David Quayle 6-4,6-1 win over Barney Fitzpatrick .
Surreys 7-2 win over Herts puts them in second place. Herts two wins came from #2 Oliver Tarvet's 6-3, 6-2 win over Deji T-S and #4 Joel Pierlioni's 6-1, 6-0 win over Jorge Beltrao. Herts #1 Dan M is on a 7 match losing streak.....
Often wonder if the team did not have to play in LTA ranking order - to take into account that some players maybe under ranked eg Joel P or simply not playing well- whether this would have any impact on the overall outcome?
Group 1 girls:
Middlesex beat Herts 6-3 and top the leader board after day 2. Yorkshire beat Kent 6-3.
Group 2a boys: A strong Middlesex team had a convincing 9-0 win over Suffolk to finish top on day 2, only one match at #4 Mattias Southcombe vs Luke Watson going to three sets .
Essex beat S Wales 7-2.
