Boys & Girls: Siauliai Open, Lithuania, indoor hard - Grade 2 (Week 8)

Worth mentioning that Alice Turbello, the French girl that Emma has just beaten in two sets, is WTA 890 (although I'm not quite sure how).

Both continue to do it in straight sets. Emma has a battle of the 2018 form players - both she and Esther's conqueror have won 3 tournaments so far. Harry's opponent won the Moldovan G2 earlier in the month.

SF

(5) Davide Tortora (ITA) v Harry Wendelken

Doubles F

(4) Grevelius/Mikula (SWE/POL) v Jacobs/Wendelken (BEL/GBR)

Girls QF

(1) Emma Raducanu d. (8) Alice Tubello (FRA) 6-3 6-4

SF

(1) Emma Raducanu v (6) Caijsa Wilda Hennemann (SWE)

But the devils in the detail

Emma's 2 consecutive grade 2's and a grade 3 plays Caijsa's 3 consecutive grade 4's!

I mean a ridiculous comparison why even mention it?

I mean what chance would the likes of Wigan have against Man City?

Indeed

Should propel Emma into the top 50, taking over as GB #1 in style.

She will be one of about 10 2002 borns with one 2004 born in the top 50.

One of the 2002s, Whitney Osuigwe (17/04/02) currently leads the junior rankings. Emma (13/11/02) will be the second youngest in the top 50, after the phenomenon that is the current JWR 28, Cori Gauff (13/04/04).
