Boys & Girls: 2018 Tennis Europe Winter Cups (U12/U14/U16)

Judging from her Linkedin profile Katie's work in industry appears to be a thing of the past. The three current roles she lists are LTA National Junior Coach / 14&U captain (since June 2017), Beyond the Baseline Athlete mentor and self-employed tennis coach/commentator

The girls powered into the final with a strong performance against Hungary, and will take on the Czech Republic in the final, who have won both their matches (including against Poland, who beat GBR in qualifying) very easily. The boys just missed out on the final, losing a match tiebreak in the decisive doubles, so play either Italy or Ukraine for bronze

Boys U12 SF

Czech Republic 2 GBR 1

Jamie Diack beat Vojtech Vales 6-3 6-0
Henry Trump lost to Petr Brunclik 3-6 0-6
Diack/Trump lost to Brunclik/Mrva 7-5 1-6 [6-10]

Girls U12 SF

GBR 3 Hungary 0

Sophya Devas beat Lili Dinnyes 6-1 6-4
Vlada Kozak beat Kitti Molnar 6-0 6-1
Kozak/Read beat Molnar/Varga 7-5 5-7 [10-2]

Good effort to win a silver and two bronze over the six events. The Czech Republic was the most successful nation, adding the 14&U girls to the two under 12 trophies.
