Obviously Id love to see Jo take the title, but if not her Id be delighted to see Caroline Wozniacki break her slam duck. One of my absolute favourites :)
Pavlyuchenkova, Kasatkina, and hotly tipped dark horse (becasue of her current ranking), Bencic, all out.
Wozniacki, Svitolina & Ostapenko all made very heavy work of their wins; each needing three sets. Only Svitolina's opponent, Siniakova, might have reasonably been expected to provide such a challenge.
It's looking as competitive and hard to predict as... erm... predicted!

Data I post, opinions I offer, 'facts' I assert, are almost certainly all stupidly wrong.

It is indeed high time they introduced just 16 seeds for Slams to make things a bit more unpredictable
Svitolina's odds must be shortening fast - only seed left in her quarter now
Yep she is strong favourite at 5.5
Kerbe, Wozniacki and Halep are 9
Jo is 19 (18/1)
Although well clear of the others, at least before the top half played their R2 matches, I sense that's more because her draw makes it likely she'll make the late stages and be in the shake up rather than great confidence that she will break her Slam duck. Still relatively long odds for a favourite, though guess we don't have such as a Serena dominating the market.
