Australian Open - Womens

I thought it might be interesting to see who folks think will win this most open of opens - Top 17 seeds, Heather and Naomi (as still alive in Qualies) as the other Brits, and AN Other for a catch all outsider!

Kerber, champion 2 years ago, and undefeated this year seems like a useful outside option. Most pundits are having trouble narrowing this years womens field down below about 20 names though!

Indeed - the poll option only offered twenty options and as I wanted to offer hev and naomi up as voting options (albeit somewhat optimistically), it left no room for someone like Kerber!

Or Kerber's Sydney final opponent, Ash Barty. You do kind of ideally need more than 20 options to deal with these women

This finally is Wozza's time though.

I thought of Kerber too and that's where my vote went

Kerber for me too, she seems to have recovered her form, belief and desire.

I guess naomi won't be getting any votes now

My vote goes to Kerber so I couldn't participate in this. Can't believe she's not even on the list given the form she's in at the moment. Her current ranking definitely doesn't reflect where she should be, as last year was obviously so difficult for her.

I'll see if I can edit her in to replace an other. I took top seeded players and a couple of brits. The two an other votes are for kerber though so you could add your vote there and I'll see if I can edit it for her name. If I can, I'll take naomi out and make her an other instead.

Unfortunately I cant edit the poll. It only offers 20 options, I took the top 17 seeds, two other Brits and then AN Other. Both the AN others to date are Kerber, so if anyone votes AN Other and says who they went for I can keep a manual tally. I will count it as 3 for Kerber now... making her equal top

I have edited the poll with Kerber taking AN Other's slot and AN Other taking Naomi's. So SuperT can now add a specific vote for Kerber.

You can edit names, just I believe not play around with the actual poll figures.

Thanks indi. I couldnt see how to do that as the poll originator. Is it a moderators only functionality?

No, you should ge able to do it. You choose to edit your first post and as well as your post text your poll options come up and you can edit any of the names.

Thanks JonH and Indiana. Sorry for being difficult. I've now registered my vote so can see what everyone else thinks - and I see I'm not alone!
