Well done to Anton but, as David predicted, it was a tough ask for Ewen:

R3

(9) Ewen Lumsden lost to (8) Andrew Paulson (CZE) 6-2 6-2

(7) Anton Matusevich def. Justin Schlageter (GER) 7-6(9) 6-2

All 4 top 8 seeds in the bottom half have made the quarters (only Paulson in the top half). Anton gets the second seed next, who won the Hungarian G2 last week

QF

(7) Anton Matusevich v (2) Carlos Lopez Montagud (ESP)

The Spanish lad will be a good test on the cusp of the top 50 and a year older, very good to see Anton putting a decent run together.

Anton lost to the second seed but in three sets; been a pretty good couple of weeks for him.

QF

(7) Anton Matusevich lost to (2) Carlos Lopez Montagud (ESP) 6-3 3-6 6-3
