Not to be - George narrowly misses out on becoming only the third Brit to make a junior slam quarter-final in his antepenultimate junior year this century (something achieved by Andy Murray and Kyle Edmund at the US Open)

Danny Thomas (USA) d. (Q) George Loffhagen 6-1 7-6(5)
That result seems fair, really, given the overall match.
But glad that George at least played a very competitive second set. It's been a very good tournament, at a really important one too, and he'll be up towards the top 50 in the rankings.
(yep, Indy, 'antepenultimate' hadn't flashed up on my radar until now, either, but it runs off the tongue nicely and makes sense so that's one to add to the box)
