At a different level, and sorry if reported elsewhere on this forum, but Fevertree the tonic water brand are new sponsors of Queens. Didn't see that coming.
"Stephen Farrow, tournament director of the Fever-Tree Championships, said: "This is fantastic news. Fever-Tree is a perfect fit for us - a premium brand known for quality."
Ummm, I must live in the wrong post code entirely, since i can't say I know 'Fever-Tree premium mixers' at all. As for the Fever-Tree Championships... well yes, it does leave me kinda feverish.. Now where's that Schweppes Tonic Water....
New sponser announced for Nottingham, Birmingham, and Eastbourne "Nature Valley is to become the new title sponsor for the Lawn Tennis Associations prestigious ATP and WTA tournaments at Nottingham, Birmingham, and Eastbourne.
For the next three years the events will be known as the Nature Valley Open, the Nature Valley Classic and the Nature Valley International respectively."

looks like the grass court trophy series challengers now have a sponsor - Fuzion 100. I had never heard of them but they appear to make a range of healthy and energy drinks.
So with Fever Tree, Nature Valley and now Fuzion 100, the LTA have gone right into the food and drinks market place with sponsors.
Just a shout out to the Sussexsport scholarship scheme that Isaac Stoute has credited with his recent success:
"Sussexsport's Sport Scholarship Scheme has helped me reach that level, with access to expertise in sports psychology, nutrition and strength and conditioning.
"Terry Cooper, who runs the Scheme, has been a huge aid to my progress. He trusted in my vision, which enabled me to succeed."
Isaac has been on the Scholarship Scheme throughout his time at Sussex, which is delivered by Sussexsport and supported by the Sussex Fund through generous gifts from alumni and friends of the University."
Well done to Wilts council for awarding £500 to 12 different young sporting hopefuls, including young Rebecca Heaps (made the semis, I believe, in the Halton TennisEurope event last month)
Are there not rules, that I think Evan Hoyt fell foul of about receiving money, making you ineligible for US College? Would Dani Hacks not fall into this category? Or is it just prize money, not money towards costs etc.
I believe there is a rule now that current college players can take up to $10k p.a. in prize money, as sort of a lump sum to cover expenses, as opposed to having to show specific expenses for each tournament. Which seems sensible. However, I don't know if this also applies before you're a college player. Or if it only applies to prize money and not sponsorship as such.
