Fun discussion. Strikes me there are two forms of doing well. There's (forum version) doing well which is any advancement compared with the sum of your adventures to date. And doing well (tabloid version) in the context of global professional tennis rankings and what is regarded as success there.
In one way, Harriet is quite easily doing well by being only half a dozen points off what she acheived last year. How you feel about her performance and points haul entirely depends on what you expect from her and what you think her capabilities are. Should she rightly be decimating that points tally, or did she have a great run last year? Depends how you view her.

On R2, Freya will play 8th seed Olesya Pervushina RUS WR 375 (CH 348 last week; junior CH 1 last Jun)
They met twice in juniors in 2015 - Freya double-bagelled the then 15yo (now 16, 17 later this week) Russian at Roehampton but Pervushina won 2 & 3 at Wimbledon the following week.

GB on a shirt, Davis Cup still gleaming, 79 years of hurt, never stopped us dreaming ... 29/11/2015 that dream came true!
Pervushina' singles in the seniors this year hasn't been Vondrousova/Anisimova-like. She's been winning a round or two at $15K/$25K mostly.
So, some reason for hope.
