Agreed Bob, we seem to have good 1st choices in these positions so this one has surprised us a bit, he wont be here to sit on the bench!

No he won't. He wants game time, which is why he has moved on.  Not sure if there is an option to buy in the loan agreement but wherever he plays, he won't let you down.

As Leif Davis leaves the club to join Ipswich, it seems appropriate to get this classic out one last time.

Damn, I miss that guy.

Leeds have made ANOTHER signing.

I think Leeds are over-compensating for loaning their best player out to Millwall wink

Told you he was a beast. wink

Beast in beast mode today. Good player though he is, not sure anyone would have had him down as the league's top scorer wink

I didn't get to see the game today, but apparently neither did the VAR official.

How this isn't a penalty, I'll never know.

But three points on the opening day is very welcome.

 C'mon, he's a goalkeeper. I mean he didn't murder your guy

In truth I'd love to hear an official explanation of why that wasn't given as a penalty.

How did Welbeck not get a penalty yesterday - oh yeah it was at Old Trafford. Oh well, who cares!

Spot on. That penalty was equally blatant.

Ref Watch on Sky:

Brighton/Welbeck incident - unanimous as definite penalty.

Leeds claim - Dermot Gallagher coming up with some weird excuse that historically we don't give fouls by keepers so if we are going to start doing that, we need to announce the keepers will be punished for challenges like that. Never actually said Yes or No to was it a penalty, just that he understood why the ref didn't give it based on historical precident

Everyone one else said stonewall penalty. Stephen Warnock saying if he was a Leeds player, he would be booked for harassing the ref on this one as he would have been apoplectic that it wasn't given.

The explanation was that it was an unintentional coming together.  Both players looking at the ball and collided.

If two players in the outfield are both going for the ball and one gets there late taking out the other, that's a foul. Why not the same for goalkeepers ?

I think quite a lot of people have put that forward as a defense, but it doesn't work for me.
