Agreed Bob, we seem to have good 1st choices in these positions so this one has surprised us a bit, he wont be here to sit on the bench!
No he won't. He wants game time, which is why he has moved on. Not sure if there is an option to buy in the loan agreement but wherever he plays, he won't let you down.
Brighton/Welbeck incident - unanimous as definite penalty.
Leeds claim - Dermot Gallagher coming up with some weird excuse that historically we don't give fouls by keepers so if we are going to start doing that, we need to announce the keepers will be punished for challenges like that. Never actually said Yes or No to was it a penalty, just that he understood why the ref didn't give it based on historical precident
Everyone one else said stonewall penalty. Stephen Warnock saying if he was a Leeds player, he would be booked for harassing the ref on this one as he would have been apoplectic that it wasn't given.
But three points on the opening day is very welcome.
C'mon, he's a goalkeeper. I mean he didn't murder your guy
In truth I'd love to hear an official explanation of why that wasn't given as a penalty.
The explanation was that it was an unintentional coming together. Both players looking at the ball and collided.
If two players in the outfield are both going for the ball and one gets there late taking out the other, that's a foul. Why not the same for goalkeepers ?
