OK. This has nothing to do with Leeds directly, other than the poster on Twitter is a Leeds fan. He started posting photos of a beach he was visiting a few months ago and purely by coincidence, it is the beach that I often walk along in Ponta Negra, Natal, in Brazil.
So I started following him on Twitter. When he is not in Brazil, he is back home in Norway where he took this amazing photo of the Aurora Borealis, which I wanted to share.
Hearing rumours that Leeds will be playing a friendly at Elche during their training camp in Spain over the WC break.
Can anyone confirm this and provide details/dates etc ? Elche is just 30 mins away for me.
no idea Bob, but sounds good - one of the fans twitter forums etc is probably more likely to give you the answer though!
I have been hunting through the Spanish press and it seems correct. Leeds are going to have a training camp just north of Benidorm and have been invited to play in the Elche Festival. No exact date yet but early December is mentioned.
Oh my, oh my, oh my. I am having the week of my life.
Managed to track down the Leeds training camp and decided to book into the hotel the players are staying. I made it to the first session which was officially 'behind closed doors', but when they saw me outside in my Leeds shirt (crutches and all) I got invited in.
I have spent the last two days watching them train close up, I have met several of the players and officials, all of whom have been very welcoming and even got to have a chat with the manager, Jesse Marsch who invited me back for the next couple of days. Victor Otra was asking about my injury.
Then in the bar this afternoon, I am watching the World Cup on the big screen, with El Mago himself (Pablo Hernandez) sitting a few feet away with his family, as one by one all the Leeds players from his era come in and embrace him.
Managed to get myself in a photo with the old guard from the Bielsa days - myself, Pablo Hernandez, Liam Cooper, Luke Ayling and Mateusz Klich.
