Leeds United

Slightly tangentally, but I don't think many would be attacted to a separate thread. So hope I'm allowed to infiltrate.

Talking Championship leaders, in the Scottish Championship, St Mirren

( having made the great escape last season from exiting the Championship in the wrong direction )

All the best Damned, I mean Leeds United.

A good day down the Den then! Slightly suprised at how well wall are doing after going to a number of games during the run in. Neil Harris continues to impress me in terms of making the most of what he's got.

Better to be top of your league and still in the cup ( OK, we haven't entered the Scottish Cup yet ).

C'mon, St Mirren !   biggrin

Leeds faltering big time at the moment, draw at Hull places us in 10th. Not quite what was "promised" a couple of months back when we were high in the play offs. Grrr.

The good news is that England are playing Costa Rica at Elland Road in June pre World Cup, should be something to look forwards to!

Here we go again. Time to look for yet another manager. I would take Garry Monk back as we shouldn't have let him go in the first place, but that would require the owners eating humble pie. Not sure they will go down that route.

It's not the manager that needs replacing some of the players need something's no between their ears, playing with 11 men for 90 minute is usually a good tactic.

I mentioned that on a Tweet to Phil Wright. 3 games out of the last 4, we have had a player sent off in the 1st half.  Kind of makes it tough for ANY manager.

Paul heckingbottom from Barnsley it is, even though he signed a new contract there last week, Leeds have lured him over. Let's see where this goes.

Have to say, my initial reaction was - "Who?". In truth, I am still none the wiser.

A Barnsley fan who took over as caretaker manger in 2016, they got promoted to the championship where they were flying high until he had to sell Conor Hourihane and James Bree to Villa (undisclosed but prob 6 million combined, Hourihane a bargain because his contract running down), Alfie Mawson to Swansea 5.5 million and Sam Winnall to Wednesday.

He then had to sell Marc Roberts for 3.6 million to the Blues so he now has sold he entire spine of his team and buy a whole team from the likes of Forest Green, Luton, St Mirren, Accrington Stanley and Partick Thistle. They are still in the championship despite selling well over 20 million's worth of talent. He will definitely sort out the plonkers, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns round Leeds pretty quickly.
