Boys & Girls: ITF Oslo Open, Norway, Hard - Grade 4 (Week 8)


Oslo has been a happy hunting ground for Brits, with Emily Smith, Jodie Burrage and Jack Draper all winners of this tournament in the last 4 years. Emma Raducanu looks for her second title this month.

Sopiko was a bit of an unknown quantity, a 16 year old young lady who had come through qualifying and put out the number 2 seed but had never played a junior ITF before.

Another 16 year old soon to be 17 beckons, who has also won through in straight sets conceding 19 games to Emma's 11. Emma had an aberration in the QF that went to a tie break! Otherwise all sets bar one bread sticks and bagels.

Yay very good, another title and some thumping wins.

Like how when she had the indignity of a TB earlier she won it 7-0  - and the second set 6-0
