This gives Seb (born 1999) a wildcard into an ITF quali draw in the next 12 months, so well done to him.
So glad I just read this! Had no idea Seb would now get a WC into a futures. Tournament schedule needs tweaking. Cheers Coup Droit!
You're very welcome
NB Do hope I'm right ! Would be embarrassing otherwise ....
But the site does say:
"Wild cards to Aegon GB Pro-Series tournaments will be available to British players (within a 12 month period) as follows. (Men & Women):
Winner of Aegon British Tour Premier or Tier 1 events will receive a wild card into the main draw of an Aegon GB Pro-Series tournament ($15k) - to be determined by the Mens or Womens Tennis Team. There will be a maximum of 3 main draw wild cards for men & women i.e. if a player wins 4 Tier 1 events in 2017, they would only be entitled to request a main draw wild card for 3 Aegon GB Pro-Series events
Winner of Aegon British Tour Tier 2 events will receive a wild card into the qualifying draw of a mens Aegon GB Pro-Series tournament ($15k) - to be determined by the Mens or Womens Tennis Team
If a player wins 3 Aegon British Tour Tier 2 events during 2017 they will receive a wild card into the main draw of an Aegon GB Pro-Series tournament ($15k) - to be determined by the Mens or Womens Tennis Team"
so it seems clear that a Tier 2 winner certainly gets a quali wc.
(And, given the other posts today: Kai - if you're doing a search on your name and come across this - don't forget to get your wildcard entry into qualis at one of the (few) 15k ITFs in Britain in the next 12 months - it's yours, you've earned it !).

...but take care with offers of wildcards - it's all in the (lack of) detail - you may find it has to be used within the same calendar year, rather than within a 12 month period.
it definitely says "within a 12-month period", but also says "Which event the wild card is awarded, is at the discretion of the LTA Mens or Womens Team." So you can't pick and choose where to use it.

Yes, as above, it clearly says a 12 months period. As the addict says, it's not guaranteed to be the one of your choice but we had someone post on the men's threads a few months ago who gave the impression that if you ask with sufficient advance notice, you're pretty much certain to get it.

As far as I can see the British tour and the wildcard opportunities it creates seems to be working quite well particularly giving experience and opportunity to the 16-19 year olds dipping their toes into senior Tennis who havent been able to travel Europe/World playing ITF juniors. Sean being a case in point having played only a couple of local (to him) junior ITF events to over the last year regularly doing well on the British tour and playing futures in Israel, Turkey and Ireland in addition to the British futures events. At futures level he often wins through qualifying and has had some first round wins in the main draw, not a bad years work.
