In Sweden, British youngsters are taking part in a G4, and starting with an excellent win for young Harry W (born Dec. 2001):

BOYS R1:

Will DAVIES (GBR) [5]     6-4 4-6 6-2     Jesper KLOV NILSSON (SWE)

Harry WENDELKEN (GBR)     6-0 6-2     Kenzo KOISTILA LARSSON (SWE) [6]

Alexandr BINDA (RUS)     6-4 6-3     Andrew ROZANOV (GBR)

 

GIRLS R1:

Josefin OPITZ (SWE)     6-4 7-6(0)     Morgan CROSS (GBR)

 

Also, with Peter Alam losing in qualifying, Ying Hou is carrying the Union Jack single-handedly in Belgrade, G4, and plays tomorrow.

In Sweden, G4, it was a clean sweep for the Brits:

R2:

Will DAVIES (GBR) [5] 6-4 6-1 Jakob GROENER (NOR)

Harry WENDELKEN (GBR) 6-4 2-3 Retired Gustaf STROM (SWE)


And in the doubles, Will+Harry won, as did Andrew Rozanov with his partner, and Morgan Cross with hers.


No luck in Belgrade, though.

R1: Gian Marco ORTENZI (ITA) 6-2 6-2 Ying HOU (GBR)

Two incredibly close matches in Sweden, one for us and one against:

QF:

Neil OBERLEITNER (AUT) [3] def. Will DAVIES (GBR) [5] 6-4 4-6 7-6(5)

Harry WENDELKEN (GBR) def. Masi SARPOLA (FIN) 4-6 6-1 7-5


This is young Harry's best result yet so great week, and still going.....

the boys are also through to the semis in the doubles.
