Don't forget an OBE for Kate Richardson-Walsh, the team captain, & MBEs for her fellow Olympic hockey gold medallists!   ban-woohoo.gif

Just realised that my 20,000th post in the Andrew Murray message board was to start this thread re his knighthood.

Too soon to know my own reward for this landmark, maybe SC knows

Need to add an honourable (non-sporting) mention for my namesake (but, sadly no relation), Patricia, the actress who plays "Mrs Bucket" & also collected a DBE. smile

Just had a quick squizz through the full list & Sophie Christiansen, Charlotte Dujardin (poetry in motion on Valegro) & dear old Nick Skelton also picked up OBEs (I take an interest in equestrianism).

I can still picture dear old Nick Skelton as a fairly young whippersnapper in days of old when the BBC showed much more show jumping.

At least my memory at times is not too bad.

Thistle or Garter? The motto of the thistle seems much more appropriate "Nemo me impune lacessit" for the worlds number 1 tennis player.
