Thank you for all the congratulations! I still consider it a matter of luck (the right combination of conservatism and pessimism!), as I've never come anywhere near winning similar competitions in previous years.
It had to be a record points in either of the men's or women's contests, thought I, built on a number of cracking WR predictions ( the area that generally tends to sort things out ).
Actually 'only' a joint record. CD recorded 61 just last year in the women's. What it is is a record winning margin with this year's far off but very worthy 2nd 12 points back.
The women's winning points scores have been relatively either very high or very low - 36, 35, 61 & 61. The men's have been a consistent 51, 47, 48 and 49. So either we seem to be have a reasonable clue about the women ( well one of us this year ) or not a scooby. Isn't that perhaps the case with women in general, at least for men?
