Looking at the race positions, the race ultimately being the rankings 2 weeks before our prediction rankings are finalised.

The position next Monday will be :

1. Jo
2/3. Naomi / Heather ( Naomi at #2 unless Heather goes further than her this week )
4. Tara
5. Katie B
6. Amanda
7. Gabi
8. Katy D
9. Katie S
10. Laura

11. Emily
12. Maia
13. Suzy

14. Eden

All the above have generally been fit and playing so the list would appear to be a reasonable ordering for the early race months though some will have been more active than others. Does indicate Laura for one needs to reaquaint herself with rather better tennis. Time moves on for such as Sam although I'm not sure there were many punts at all on injured players at outset. Notably slow out of the blocks have been Harriet and Freya.

Still early days and too early to say how much longer I shall be at the top, especially as I realise that Amanda C and Katie B are completely out of my reckonings!

If Amanda ends up in RG, as I never imagined, I thought she was going nowhere, my rankings will plummet.

Update for the women after French Open. Miriambee is currently on course for "the double" leading both groups which is very impressive. Jon tucked in second place, then a gap with The Optimist in third just ahead of the pack. Wimbledont slips to the bottom of the table.

Post Wimbledon update. Miriambee is still  in the lead but now joined at the top by indiana, who is also heading up the men's predictions. Jon moves into 3rd.

Quite a few predictions for JoKo to be WR4, with Wimbledont the most optimistic predicting 3.

Slow and steady, might make up some ground soon. Everyone starting to bunch up in the midfield.

(Oh wow, I've closed the gap to the leaders by 22 points)

Stunned to see I am still not last. Reviewed my predictions and I think hopelessly optimistic sums it up.

The Wimbledon, US Open swing has killed me off!

At 4th in both the women's and men's, I would like officially to call time and pause it all right here

Some of the girls have a lot of points to defend in the next months - it risks making a real mess of things....

That's very good, indi, but hasn't the deadline for entries passed?
