The trouble is, he now has to hold. And then break again. But at least things don't look as black as they did.

I don't know if I'm disappointed or annoyed. When he loses gallantly to better players then it's always encouraging to see him do well. But this match is him jamming the self destruct button several times. It's an absolute sickener for him really. The win was there for the taking but he kept bottling it on his own serve. His returning ability is excellent but theres only so much he can rely on it.

I am BITTERLY disappointed.


I think I feel as bad as when he lost to Chela in the AO. That is the sort of match he HAS to win to climb the rankings.


With nearly all the ones around him in the rankings getting through to the next round - so far at least - his ranking is bound to drop, maybe quite badly.
