Another good victory for Laura - looks like she is slowly but steadily rediscovering her form.

She needs about another 32 pts to get back into the top 200 - making the final here would easily do that or else a SF plus a QF at another 50k. She still has 2 x 1 point scores and 1x 3 pointer in her 16 counters and nothing coming off until March so plenty of easy opportunities to move on up the rankings

Unfortunately the USTA seem to be streaming a 10K this week when we have Brits in 25 and 50k's.

Not going to plan at the moment and double faults mounting up. Think she should revert to that multiple ball toss thing. She hardly double faults when she does that.

Laura seems to be gradually edging her way into this match, serving better and winning the occasional point on her opponent's service. She will need to improve her return of service though to get back into this set.
