Five out of seven young Brits came through the final quali round. To join Olivia Elliott and a cluster of about 6 boys in the MD.

Particular credit here to Hamish who, after taking out the top seed, ranked JWR 185 (!) and over 1000 places higher than him, has now beaten the 5th seed too, ranked 382. This is only his fourth ever ITF junior tournament so well done, that man.

I believe three out of the four semi-finalists are Scottish lads

Not absolutely sure about Hamish, but he can qualify by name whatever.

Knowing nothing about the lad, I would think you could quite legitimately claim 'Hamish Stewart' as one of the Caledonian clan

And in the doubles SF, they are joined by a (seeming) compatriot, one 'Douglas Macintosh' !
