A bit of a shame for both Olga and Katie that the draw gas panned out in the way it has, as I am sure the agenda is getting competitive games in.

Jay did originally enter the US Open (but not here) and withdrew - I don't know why. Katie plays her round 2 late today

Katie Swan v (2) Olga Danilovic (SRB)

Pity, it's probably been a very frustrating year for Katie after her pretty impressive early Fed Cup appearance, clearly very largely injury affected.

Hopefully seeing CiCi Bellis and Kayla Day progressing at the US Open can only inspire her to want to follow them and have a good end to the year and much healthier 2017.
